Dev Raturi has been an active social welfare contributor helping many poor people by providing job opportunities in his restaurants and donating money for the education of children. Till date, he has brought at least one person from every house in his village to China to work in his business.
However, instead of bringing people to China from Uttarakhand for job opportunities, Dev sees a wide scope to create these opportunities right in the place where they live. Thus, he initiated the plan, ‘New Uttarakhand, Improved Lifestyle’, to help local people by creating new jobs in the same state. He is planning to open a chain of star hotels and do some movies that has a theme on connecting India and China culture.
